We collect nothing.
Here is exactly what that means.
What we collect
KalonGuide collects no personally identifiable information. When you use this tool, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, insurance information, health status, medication names, income information, immigration status, or any other information that could identify you.
Nothing you type or select in the tool is stored anywhere. When you close the tool or navigate away, nothing remains. There is no record of your session, your answers, or your results.
Technically: KalonGuide does not operate a user database. It does not write to a database on submission. It does not associate answers with device identifiers, IP addresses, or session tokens for storage. Tool inputs are processed in-session and discarded.
Cookies and tracking
KalonGuide does not use tracking cookies. We do not use advertising pixels, cross-site tracking scripts, or behavioral analytics that identify individual users.
We may use minimal, anonymous technical cookies to ensure the site functions correctly — for example, to remember language preference. These cookies do not identify you and cannot be used to track you across other websites.
We do not use Google Analytics user tracking, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party advertising or retargeting technology.
Anonymous usage data
We may collect strictly anonymous, aggregate data to understand how the tool is used — for example, how many people accessed the tool on a given day, or which pages were most visited. This data:
- Cannot be used to identify any individual
- Is never sold, licensed, or shared with any third party
- Is never combined with any other data source
- Is used only to improve the tool and measure its reach
If a care team partner shares KalonGuide using a unique referral link (for example, kalonguide.com/?ref=clinic-name), we may log that the link was accessed and how many times — but we log nothing about who accessed it.
Third-party sharing
We do not sell, rent, license, or share any data with any third party. This includes pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, government agencies, data brokers, research institutions, and advertising networks.
KalonGuide is not affiliated with any pharmaceutical manufacturer, pharmacy benefit manager, insurance company, or government program. Information about programs that appear in the tool comes from publicly available sources. Appearing in the tool does not constitute an endorsement by or affiliation with that program.
We are not a covered entity under HIPAA because we do not collect health information. However, we hold ourselves to a standard consistent with the spirit of HIPAA: the people who use this tool have a right to complete privacy and we design every part of the tool to honor that right.
External links
KalonGuide may direct you to external websites — pharmaceutical manufacturer programs, government assistance portals, or Ryan White program resources. Once you leave kalonguide.com, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We have no control over the privacy practices of external sites and recommend reviewing their privacy policies before submitting any information.
Children’s privacy
KalonGuide does not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 13. The tool is designed for adults seeking medication assistance. If you believe a minor has provided information through this tool, please contact us immediately at partners@kalonguide.com.
Security
Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is no personal data to protect through a data security program. This is by design. The most secure privacy practice is to never collect data in the first place.
KalonGuide is served over HTTPS. All connections between your device and this site are encrypted in transit.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify care team partners via email at partners@kalonguide.com. Continued use of the tool after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We will never change this policy in a way that introduces the collection of personal data without explicit, prominent notice and user consent.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from this policy or your use of KalonGuide shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.
